The Sun E4000 offers unique multiprocessing design which enables you to increase computational power and I/O throughput via low-cost modular upgrades. The Sun e4000 server can scale to support extremely I/O-intensive workloads because of the Gigaplane 2.6-GB/sec system interconnect. The Sun Enterprise 4000 server can support up to 14 high-speed UltraSPARC processors, 14 GB of memory, and 14 I/O channels.
