The Sun Enterprise 5000 provides the highest level of uptime available in a network server the Sun E5000 server gives you the industry's most comprehensive set of uptime features. With built-in redundancy, the Sun Enterprise 5000 server can tolerate power supply, cooling, or storage failures without affecting system operation-and can automatically recover from most other failures, such as CPU faults, with minimal disruption.The e5000 main system components are hot-pluggable so hardware repairs and installations can be performed while the system is on line. The E5000 server is optimized to provide extremely high I/O throughput, in fact, the Gigaplane, our 2.6-GB/sec system interconnect, delivers more than twice the I/O capacity of competing systems.
