The Sun Fire ™ 4800 server helps deliver on the promise of continuous computing.With up to 12 processors and the redundantly configurable Sun Fireplane Interconnect, the Sun Fire 4800 server delivers impressive total system performance.
The Sun Fire 4800 server can be utilized as a deskside system, placed in a Sun Fire cabinet, or mounted in an industry standard 19-inch rack.
The Sun Fire 4800 server supports two to 12 UltraSPARC III processors, up to 96 GB of memory, 16 PCI slots or 8 hot-swappable cPCI slots, and one or two System Domains. The Sun Fire ™ 4800 offers mainframe-class availability features, including full hardware redundancy, concurrent maintenance, online upgrades and Hot CPU Upgrades.
